So now that I have a real job, I have no time to play on the internet and update this blog. The new job is going great. It's super busy and the day flies by, I love it. I'm pretty happy right now. I went shopping on Saturday, bought out the mall and Christmas is coming! I bought a bunch of stuff to decorate since I really haven't ever had my own place to decorate. Well it's time to order some pizza for the boys so I'm off!

Me and my sis are visiting the local library to check email and stuff. It's been a fun week, relaxing too. I feel really relaxed...a feeling I haven't felt in a while. I'm writing to you in my pajamas staring out a window and still a little sleepy eyed. Yep, it's 9:23am and I'm not working! Ha ha! I still can't sleep in though. My body is use to getting up at 6am so sleeing in for me is about 8am. I did make a killer pancake breakfast though. Today I am cleaning, doing a bit of laundry and going shopping for a halloween costume at goodwill or salvation army. I am also bringing Scott lunch today so that'll be a nice break for him.

I plan on going to Mishawaka, IN on Monday to visit with my sister. She's moving there tomorrow from Chicago. So I'll be helping her unpack and not be bored cause she's there alone. I think we'll have fun! I'm not sure how long I'm going to stay, but that's fun too!

Yep, so I'm all done working. It came up fast but thats ok. My work is slow and went into lay-off mode so I left early with a chance at unemployment, so I took it! So bye bye work, time for a week off and a new start! Yay!

I have a MEGA headache. I just ran to Burger King to see if it was a hungry headache but nope. I got a coke, nope still have a headache. So I went for the last option, buying excedrin. So far no go. I feel dizzy and loopy and my head hurts. I wish I could just go to bed but I have to sit here at work doing NOTHING while I get paid. I've answered about 3 phone calls since 8am too. Sucky, so glad I have another job. Anyway, my head hurts.

I did it, gave my 2 weeks this morning. I accepted a job and start on Halloween! Yay! I'm really excited about this change. The company is about 5 minutes from my apartment. I actually get to sleep normal hours and work normal hours again, oh and did I mention work?! I love working, I hate being bored. My boredom will end in 2 weeks....and probably my blog. I may update it at home once in a while but we'll see how that goes. I know it's so sad that my blog may end, I hope u all will live.

Pistons Win!

Last night was SO MUCH FUN! Yes the Pistons won, of course! We got to see the starters for the first quarter and Darko came in as well. It's too bad Rip didn't play more, my friend Beth was hoping to see more of him. But Darko did play alot of the game, awesome!

Beth and I are dorks! We waited to see them after the game and saw buses instead. But we did the unthinkable and knew what way the buses were going. We ran to the street corner like two kids wanting candy and cheered and jumped up and down and took pictures as the bus drove past us. It was so great, yet so silly! Anyway, it was such fun and we'll always have memories.

I'll post pics as soon as I find my stupid cord that goes to the computer....and when Beth sends me hers!

I'm already excited for tomorrow...I wish it was here. It's my dear friend Danielle's 25th birthday tomorrow. We are headed down to Pulaski Days, the Polish festival in Grand Rapids. It's a tradition, never missed a year in the past 5 years! After our Polish dancing shoes come off, we're putting on the "shake that ass" shoes and headed downtown for some dancing! It should be a fun night. I also got some new clothes/jewelry so I feel extra pretty. I'm such a girl! Anyway, I'll post crazy pics up next week.

Also, today is my Grandmpa's 75th Birthday! Well it was yesterday, but we're celebrating today. Should be some good cake & ice cream at my Aunts. Happy Birthday Gramps!

Depressing Monday

Man, I really hate Mondays. There's nothing good about them. It's a start of a new week which can be fun, but the day is long and drags and even when you go home there's nothing to do but clean up from the weekend, do laundry and go back to bed just to go back to work the next day. Blah.

I'm still searching for that spectacular job that'll save me $50 gas a week. One of the companies is still interested and yesterday I sent out about 10 more resumes. I'm keeping my hopes up, something has to open up for me!!

And more sad news...I've decided to give up beer. I'm disgusted with my body as any normal woman is, but I'm gonna do something about it. I do think I've gained weight because of beer. I can't give up alcohol completely though so I'll do some liquor or something but bye bye beer for a while. I need to look good again, not just for my boyfriend, but for me!

Life Update!

As most of you know, I hate driving to work. It's alot of money, alot of gas and I've become poor cause I have to put so much gas in my car just to work. Well, I'm sick of it and I've done something about it!!...or trying.

Last night I had an interview that went really well. It's for a financial place downtown Grand Rapids. It seems promising, but you never know. I also received a phone call from a place REALLY close to my apartment. I'm going to call her on my lunch today to set up an interview. The only thing I'm not sure about for the downtown job is it's business dress. That means I need to get a whole new wardrobe to work there and right now I have $0. I'd basically have to open up a credit card and buy everything on that. So, we'll see what this other job has to offer.

Keep me motivated and wish me good luck!!!

As for the new cat situation....the cats are doing ok. They still aren't getting along. Scott and I have heard alot of growling and hissing lately. Everyday it seems the cats get closer to eachother and are doing a bit better feeling eachother out. Although, Roy pissed on my shirt yesterday in front of me and that made me really made. I think they are playing the territory game or something. I can't wait till they become buddies...hopefully sooner than later!

Next week is the System of a Down concert and I also took off work on Sept 29 & 30 if anyone wants to do something. I figure I better use up a few vacations days cause I don't know if they'll pay me for them if I quit.

Saturday was a RIOT! I went with friends to this ranch on Saturday. We did horseback riding, drank drinky drinks and ate alot of food! The hoseback riding was slow, we just walked. Although my horse named Monster was into eating everything in sight, kind of a pain. It was a free outing for a company picnic of our friend. Well Jen & Klaus have decided to make a new life in Georgia. They have found a place to stay. A nice woman has decided to let them stay with her until they can find a job and apartment. I was a little sad to know they wouldn't be coming, yet happy they have a place to live.

The weekend was alot of fun though. It was so nice to sleep in! Yesterday I didn't get outta my pj's until 2pm!! Talk about a relaxing weekend!!

Good news and bad news, bad news first!

My car is going to the body shop. Last night Scott and I went to the Byron Center football game and while my car was parked, it got hurt. A big gate swung into my passenger side window breaking it and denting my car door inside and out and detatching the mirror. I guess someone hit the gate with their car, the bolted and the gate just swung with great force into my car and window. What a mess. They police were there and took a report and luckily I have awesome insurance so I don't have to pay anything. Also, luckily my parents are gone so I can use my Mom's car. What a mess, what a mess.

Good News! Jen & Klaus and the kids are coming on Sat or Sun to stay with my parents. I'm so excited to see them! So this weekend I will be spending alot of my time with them and also cleaning my Mom's house, she's a clean freak, ha ha!

Hurricane...update

Today I received an email from Klaus and Jen. They have decided to go back to Germany for a few weeks until things settle down in New Orleans. They leave next Friday for Germany out of Chicago. So, they will be driving to Grand Rapids on Saturday to stay at my parents until Friday. I'm so excited that I get to see them! It's too bad it has to be in these circumstances, but at least they have a place to go.

Please still keep them in your prayers as they don't know the status of their house yet. Her parents are back at their house and it's somewhat damaged, but repairable. Although, they have no water, electricity or way of communication.

You all know about Katrina and her devistation to New Orleans and other places. Well I posted a pic a week or so ago of my friends from Germany. One of them lives in New Orleans with his wife and family. I received an email from them today that they are ok. They got out in time and they are staying in Atlanta at a hotel for now. They have not heard how their area is and don't know when they can go back. If you all could keep them in your thoughts and prayers tha would be wonderful.
And one more thought....I am complaining a little about the crazy gas prices, but just think if you lost your home and your life and everything, a gas price isn't that big of a deal.

I think fall is here or just about. I'm looking out my work window and alot of the leaves out here are starting to turn yellow already. Also, when I was driving home yesterday I saw a tree and the top of it had red leaves. See.....

I love fall! I love the cool, crisp air and being wrapped in a blanket around a campfire or just hiking outside. I'm sick of summer, bring on fall! (skip winter though :p)

Men are Lazy

It's my blog, so I'm gonna bitch a bit. Men are lazy (like you didn't know already) And just for the record, this has nothing to do with my boyfriend.
As most of you know, I work with all men, except Mindy who is only at work about twice a week. So today the sales manager here (a man) asks me if I've updated our fax cover sheet in the computer. (because we moved) I said yes, of course. See everyone has their own documents on thier computer and they change them to their name, cell number and what not, but it's all the same format. Anyway, he says can you send it to me? I said ya, but you already have it, all you have to do is change the address. He says I know. I told him he's lazy. Seriously, LAZY. Then later he asks me to burn some cd's for him, so I go for it. The first works fine, then the next doesn't. It's not working, something is wrong. I restart, do everything and I think my burner died cause I use to have 2 and one died so I guess I'm left with none. Anyway, he says well can you burn it on someone else's computer? I said no, everyone has laptops and their not here. Well then he says can you come into my office and burn it on my laptop? I'm like whatever....(thinking...do it yourself dumbass). Can you tell I dont' like this guy? I don't know what it is about him but I don't like him. He's nice and friendly and I don't like him! He can't do anything for himself and it's not just today, it's always and it makes me think men are lazyier everyday. I feel really sorry for his wife. And my last thought is...if MEN ruled the earth, nothing would get done and they would all die.

I'm gonna take a prozac now......LOL

Here's pics of the new office! It's such a beautiful building and area. Everyday we see either deer or some sort of wildlife running around here. Yesterday the boss' kids came in to fish at the pond in the back. I guess there's bass and pike and other fishes in there. Pretty cool!

This is my German family! I miss them and want to visit again! Klaus and his wife live in New Orleans and he was visiting home for a few weeks. They are a ton of fun! It's been a bit busy here at the new work building. It seems everytime I try to do something fun, I have work to do. Blah! Anyway, things are starting to slow down a bit which is nice cause I can update this now!

Here's my boring update:
I had a good weekend and got alot done. I painted my table and it looks SO much better. Scott put together my desk for me and that also is cool. I start working for Pete tonight doing invoices and secretary stuff as a 2nd job and I'm looking forward to the extra money. Maddie cat is still peeing all over the apartment. She doesn't know how to pee in the litter box...but she poops in there, go figure. Anyway, last night while I was trying to sleep she decided to pee on the bed while I was in it. Luckily it was the verlux blanket and it doesn't absorb liquid so it wasn't that big of a mess to clean up...but still. I don't know what her problem is. I love her so much that I just deal with it but I'm getting sick of it. I wish I could put a diaper on her kitty butt.
My job is going well but the drive to work is now about 50 minutes. And with gas being $2.79/gallon it's not making me the happiest person. I'm quite confused as to what to do...stay or look for another job. The thought of sending resumes and interviewing makes me wanna hurl.
Scott and I got our hair cut. His is shorter but still long, below his ears. It looks really nice and my hair just hits my shoulders. He went to the Tigers game last night and I guess 2 streakers were in the outfield. I guess it was pretty funny. And yes the Tigers won and they don't suck that bad.... =)
Anyway, I think that's all for now.....

Finally, the office move is over! I think everything is moved, except out Plant, which I have no part of....so yay! The office is looking great and I'm loving the big desk I have, and the view! I'm finally back to normal things I think, despite a few boxes here and there.

My drive to work is about 45 minutes now, I'm not liking it very much. I do love to drive, it's just paying for the gas. Blah...

Doctor Appt Update!

I'm sure you all have been biting your lips, waiting for what is wrong with my ankle, right? ha ha! Well I went to the doctor, they did x-rays right there. Nothing is broke and I'm so happy about that! But they said I tore a bunch of ligaments around my ankle which is making it hurt and swollen. So, I have to do these weird foot exercises for a month. I also have a bandage around my lower leg/foot/ankle and I have to wear that for a week to try to get things to heal right. I also have to ice it 2-3 times a day to get the swelling to go down. Other than that, I'm ok and this will be over before I know it! Yay!

Well, the ankle hasn't gotten any better, more like worse. It's still swollen and hurts so I have an appt today. I hope it's nothing and that I'm freaking out over nothing, but we'll see.

I'm also getting my hair cut today! I'm sick of it being long and I just put it in a ponytail anyway. So yes, a haircut will be nice. The pic below is kinda what I want it to look like. I'll take pics after it's done and post em!

Fun Weekend!

We all had a riot tubing on Saturday! It was so HOT outside but the river was perfect. Afterwards we went to a cabin on a lake and swam some more and I ate so much food I thought I was gonna puke! Everyone was pretty lit and some girl passed out on the trampoline raft in the lake, it was hilarious! It was quite a tiring day so I went to bed at 7:30pm. crazy huh!
Yesterday was also another hot day so I opted for AC instead of water. I did laundry, grocery shopping and rented the movie "White Noise". That movie was really freaky! I know it's true too and I believe in that stuff but it still freaks me out!!
Tonight I am going for a nice bike ride with Susan on the trail. It's gonna be really hot but it's good exercise. I wish it was 5pm......

Yay, it's finally 3pm! Well a bit after. Anyway, that means I get to go home soon, yay! I have probably done about 1 hour worth of work today. It's so slow, nothing to do and I'm getting bored with the internet. I did grab a Diet Coke to keep me awake until 5pm and it seems to be helping.

Since you are so concerned, my ankle seems to be doing somewhat better. I put ice on it last night for a while and I'm hoping it continues to get better cause I don't want to go to the doctor.

Well now I'm getting bored writing this and you're probably bored reading it, so I'll stop.

Canoeing Sucked!!

So me and Scott went canoeing on Saturday with some friends. We had alot of fun last time so I anticipated this being just as fun. Well we got into our canoe and it ended up being different than everyone else's canoe. It was VERY tippy. We both noticed this as we started. Anyway, to make a long long river trip short, we tipped around 10 times or more and we both got pretty banged up and bruised. Alot of people on this trip got bruised but we were the master canoe tippers. My left ankle is all swollen and I think I did something bad to it. If I'ts not better in a day or two I am going to the doc. I'm sure you're all laughing but it wasn't fun twoards the end....it got old. I was praying for the 2nd bridge so we could be done with it...and atlas, it finally came. Both Scott and I were laying in bed watching tv last night and we both couldn't move, it was funny. At least this weekend I'm going tubing down a river and it won't involve any tipping or thinking or anything, just relaxing and drinking beer. Oh how I can't wait for Saturday...and it's only Monday....sigh....

Yay! It's Friday! Tomorrow Scott and I are going canoeing up North again with a group of friends. Instead of going the whole weekend, we're going just Sat to Sun. Yay, Monday. I really hate Mondays. Anyway, I'm back to work and getting paid! I had a nice time off and went camping with family, cleaned and cleaned my apartment, drank some drinky drinks and went to the beach. All in all, it was relaxing and getting up at 6:30am this morning SUCKED!

My work has become extra slow this past week and a half. The plant has been shut down since Monday. None of us have anything to do, except the sales guys trying to sell walls. Dieting sucks! Well I haven't lost any weight but my friend was over and she said it looked like I had....so??? Anyway, I'm trying super hard now, seriously. I kinda slacked off the past 2 weeks cause I was so busy but now, no more, I'm serious. I watched the new music video of Jessica Simpson in her Daisy Duke bathing suit and I'm like dang, I want to look like that! I know I can though...without the blonde hair and ditzy brain, well without the blonde hair, lol.

So help motivated me! Don't let me eat shitty food, tell me to exercise, any motivation is greatly appreciated!

Also, I'm trying a new beer, Budweiser Select. It's supposed to have very few calories and crap in it, and taste like Budweiser! And NO, I won't give up beer, are you crazy!

Tomorrow I am going to visit my sister in Aurora, IL. I'm really looking forward to this mini-vacation! I hope to get there by 7pm tomorrow night. We are going to Six Flags in Chicago and going to the waterpark to work on our tans and have a little fun! Saturday night she works so I'll take a nap or watch movies or play Shrek! Sunday is also supposed to be nice to we'll probably lay out at her pool at her apartment, which is quite nice I hear!

I'm super tired still from last weekend and I think this weekend will help with some catching up on sleep and rest. I just wish I was Friday today though so I could leave!!

Birthday Pictures

6-14-05: I had a great birthday! I had alot of fun at dinner with my parents. The food was incredible. I had lamb with a red wine sauce and it was delicious! (that's why the picture says baaa!) After dinner I went to Bob's bar with some friends, had a great time. I'm quite tired today, but it was all worth it!

This weekend I'm going camping with my boyfriend and a bunch of our friends! It'll be a riot! Hopefully the weather will stay like it is, warm and dry.

Well the weekend was fantastic! The weather was also great, 80's and sunny! I was busy with a wedding & baby shower Fri/Sat. I did make it downtown for Festival and ate alot of food with Susan. Later that night we went to a friends and drank some vodka on the front porch, fun fun!

Sunday I got to see Star Wars III! It rocked!!

All in all, the weekend was a whole lotta fun and I'm kinda tired today. Oh well. This week I'm preparing for a camping trip. I have to find all my camping stuff and go get some good food. I'm so excited!!

The fast-food chain is tentatively planning the launch of a new spicy, fried white-meat chicken snack this summer, according to a USA Today report Friday.

Yay! I'm so happy! It's Friday! I have quite a busy weekend and looking forward to it. Tonight I have a wedding shower for a cousin of mine. It will be fun getting together with that side of the family. I really only see them once or twice a year! Tomorrow is a baby shower for my cousin Holly....but for another side of the family. I am also going to go to a sale tomorrow in Rockford and hope to buy a couple chairs, if I find the right ones. Also, this weekend is Festival downtown so I'll be spending my Saturday night with my dearest friend Susan! I don't have plans on Sunday which is great! I do plan on getting some sun if it's out and hanging shelves in my house. I finally got a drill from my Aunt, thanks! So as you can see, I will be busy and I'm loving it! Happy Friday to you!

Memorial Weekend

Let me just say, the weathermen suck here in Grand Rapids! They predicted cloudy and rain all weekend long. Well, we got no rain and some clouds with a ton of sunshine and high temperatures in the 70s. I am not complaining about the weather, just the weathermen. Once you live here a while, you realize the weather is going to be opposite of what they predict.

Anyway, the weekend was most uneventful. Scott was still recovering from his cold so we mainly relaxed and laid around. We did watch that awful Pistons game on Sunday night though. The worse ref calls ever! We're hoping for a better game tonight.

Weekend

Well the weekend was ok. Friday night me and Scott stayed in and I did laundry. It was kinda nice to stay in! Saturday was a beautiful day. I laid out on the deck, got a little tan going on and we went to the Tigers Game. It was a very fun game! I didn't take many pictures though, I was too busy sippin on my beer and eating peanuts! Sunday I watched Star Wars I and II for the first time. It's pretty good! I think I'll go see III in the theater sometime this week...then I can watch the last three (yes, I haven't seen them).
