Hurricane

You all know about Katrina and her devistation to New Orleans and other places. Well I posted a pic a week or so ago of my friends from Germany. One of them lives in New Orleans with his wife and family. I received an email from them today that they are ok. They got out in time and they are staying in Atlanta at a hotel for now. They have not heard how their area is and don't know when they can go back. If you all could keep them in your thoughts and prayers tha would be wonderful.
And one more thought....I am complaining a little about the crazy gas prices, but just think if you lost your home and your life and everything, a gas price isn't that big of a deal.

Fall is here?

I think fall is here or just about. I'm looking out my work window and alot of the leaves out here are starting to turn yellow already. Also, when I was driving home yesterday I saw a tree and the top of it had red leaves. See.....



I love fall! I love the cool, crisp air and being wrapped in a blanket around a campfire or just hiking outside. I'm sick of summer, bring on fall! (skip winter though :p)

A High Heel Tennis Shoe?

I have no idea what you call this but it's crazy...and ugly. I'm sure someone will buy it though, so sad.

I'm online at home!

Yep, it's true. After all this time, I'm finally on the internet at home!! I am on dial-up though so it's a little slower than I'm use to, but not that bad. I have nothing much to update today. Typical sucky Monday and I'm doing laundry tonight, fun fun. The week should bring much more fun things!

Tomorrow is Friday!

I just now realized that tomorrow is Friday! And I can sleep in on Saturday and Sunday! Yay!!!

Men are Lazy

It's my blog, so I'm gonna bitch a bit. Men are lazy (like you didn't know already) And just for the record, this has nothing to do with my boyfriend.
As most of you know, I work with all men, except Mindy who is only at work about twice a week. So today the sales manager here (a man) asks me if I've updated our fax cover sheet in the computer. (because we moved) I said yes, of course. See everyone has their own documents on thier computer and they change them to their name, cell number and what not, but it's all the same format. Anyway, he says can you send it to me? I said ya, but you already have it, all you have to do is change the address. He says I know. I told him he's lazy. Seriously, LAZY. Then later he asks me to burn some cd's for him, so I go for it. The first works fine, then the next doesn't. It's not working, something is wrong. I restart, do everything and I think my burner died cause I use to have 2 and one died so I guess I'm left with none. Anyway, he says well can you burn it on someone else's computer? I said no, everyone has laptops and their not here. Well then he says can you come into my office and burn it on my laptop? I'm like whatever....(thinking...do it yourself dumbass). Can you tell I dont' like this guy? I don't know what it is about him but I don't like him. He's nice and friendly and I don't like him! He can't do anything for himself and it's not just today, it's always and it makes me think men are lazyier everyday. I feel really sorry for his wife. And my last thought is...if MEN ruled the earth, nothing would get done and they would all die.

I'm gonna take a prozac now......LOL

My New Office!

Here's pics of the new office! It's such a beautiful building and area. Everyday we see either deer or some sort of wildlife running around here. Yesterday the boss' kids came in to fish at the pond in the back. I guess there's bass and pike and other fishes in there. Pretty cool!

Next is the Whitecaps Game! $1 beer night! Actually the line was so dang long and the cups were so small we just got the normal beers for $3.50 instead.

This is my German family! I miss them and want to visit again! Klaus and his wife live in New Orleans and he was visiting home for a few weeks. They are a ton of fun! I can't believe his Mom puts up with all those guys! My exchange student was Jens, on the far upper left. He sure brought alot of laughter to my life when he came here!! I think I need to get another job just to save for a trip to Europe! I miss my friends!! :(

I am still alive!

It's been a bit busy here at the new work building. It seems everytime I try to do something fun, I have work to do. Blah! Anyway, things are starting to slow down a bit which is nice cause I can update this now!

Here's my boring update:
I had a good weekend and got alot done. I painted my table and it looks SO much better. Scott put together my desk for me and that also is cool. I start working for Pete tonight doing invoices and secretary stuff as a 2nd job and I'm looking forward to the extra money. Maddie cat is still peeing all over the apartment. She doesn't know how to pee in the litter box...but she poops in there, go figure. Anyway, last night while I was trying to sleep she decided to pee on the bed while I was in it. Luckily it was the verlux blanket and it doesn't absorb liquid so it wasn't that big of a mess to clean up...but still. I don't know what her problem is. I love her so much that I just deal with it but I'm getting sick of it. I wish I could put a diaper on her kitty butt.
My job is going well but the drive to work is now about 50 minutes. And with gas being $2.79/gallon it's not making me the happiest person. I'm quite confused as to what to do...stay or look for another job. The thought of sending resumes and interviewing makes me wanna hurl.
Scott and I got our hair cut. His is shorter but still long, below his ears. It looks really nice and my hair just hits my shoulders. He went to the Tigers game last night and I guess 2 streakers were in the outfield. I guess it was pretty funny. And yes the Tigers won and they don't suck that bad.... =)
Anyway, I think that's all for now.....

Weekend Sickness

I'm feeling a ton better. I was just sick for the weekend, that sucked. At least Danielle came over Sat night and brought me some medicine named Vodka. Thanks again girl, it was a blast!

Summer Cold

Ack...I feel icky. I'm tired, my head hurts, my nose is running, yuck! I think I'm getting the summer cold. Ugh...! I thought I'd wine to you all cause I can. Excuse me while I go ...aaah ahhh aaaahcchhhoooo!

I have always wondered this and just asked Scott this about a week ago. Well MSN did an article today about random questions people ask their doctors and guess what I found out??

Men, however, have already developed nipples.

Moved & Settled

Finally, the office move is over! I think everything is moved, except out Plant, which I have no part of....so yay! The office is looking great and I'm loving the big desk I have, and the view! I'm finally back to normal things I think, despite a few boxes here and there.

My drive to work is about 45 minutes now, I'm not liking it very much. I do love to drive, it's just paying for the gas. Blah...

Hi Friend! Well this is the week! We're currently moving to a new building and city. I've been busy today packing up a few things and hopefully moving to the new building today. We're waiting for the phones to transfer though. I'm not sure how much I'll be online there this week with unpacking, fun fun. If ya need me, you know my phone number!
