Memorial Weekend

Let me just say, the weathermen suck here in Grand Rapids! They predicted cloudy and rain all weekend long. Well, we got no rain and some clouds with a ton of sunshine and high temperatures in the 70s. I am not complaining about the weather, just the weathermen. Once you live here a while, you realize the weather is going to be opposite of what they predict.

Anyway, the weekend was most uneventful. Scott was still recovering from his cold so we mainly relaxed and laid around. We did watch that awful Pistons game on Sunday night though. The worse ref calls ever! We're hoping for a better game tonight.

It's that time again....

Yes, weight loss time, yay!! LOL, um ok, maybe not yay. Anyway, I happened to buy a Glamour magazine over the weekend and found a cool program on their website that I'm using to lose some weight. I have a workout buddy that I email daily and we keep eachother motivated and accountable. This is my first week so hopefully I'll keep up on it. I really need to lose weight!

Weekend

Well the weekend was ok. Friday night me and Scott stayed in and I did laundry. It was kinda nice to stay in! Saturday was a beautiful day. I laid out on the deck, got a little tan going on and we went to the Tigers Game. It was a very fun game! I didn't take many pictures though, I was too busy sippin on my beer and eating peanuts! Sunday I watched Star Wars I and II for the first time. It's pretty good! I think I'll go see III in the theater sometime this week...then I can watch the last three (yes, I haven't seen them).

I lost my brain!

Do you ever have those days or weeks that you feel you left your brain somewhere and you don't know where? Welcome to my world! I have forgotton simple things as the fax number at work and the more I try to remember what it is, the more I can't figure it out. I also screwed up something at work this week and one of the salesguys is not very happy with me. It was a stupid mistake on my end, me not thinking. There's nothing I can do about it now, it's basically his problem, even though I caused it. I just wish I could find my brain. I hope it makes its way back into my head sometime soon......

Skinny is just plain GROSS!

As you all know, that thing is Ms. Lindsay Lohan. She is among other celebrities going for the "skeleton" look. I think this is just disgusting! Mischa Barton and Nicole Ritchie are also included in this "skeleton" group. I think it's so nasty when you can see a persons bone sticking out of their shoulder...or when a girl loses 2-3 breast sizes! Poor Lindsay went from a D to an B!

My whole point to this is....I use to be the "skeleton" girl back in highschool. Although I wasn't skinny cause I didn't eat or anything like that, it was just my physical makeup. About when I turned 18 my body started to fill out and it's filled out quite nicely I must say. But man, I so appreaciate the extra flab on my hips and arms and chest and all over now. But, looking at these girls makes me feel better about myself. I know I look healthy and glowing. These girls are the opposite of healthy. It is quite sad for younger girls who look up to them think they have to be that skinny. Fat can be a good thing ya know, as long as you don't overdo it.

Rain

Today is a rainy, gloomy day. I like it though, it's very relaxing.

Tonight I am going to attempt to hang shelves by myself. Hopefully it'll get done tonight. My sister is coming tomorrow and I'm so excited! It should be a great weekend, despite the rain in the forecast. I wish the rain to go away until Monday!

I thought today was good....

I thought my day was going well. Although, on my way to work I almost hit 2 ducks. I swerved slowly and missed them. I would have felt sooo bad if I had hit them! Anyway, at work everything is going ok, boring as usual. Then one of the guys comes up and asks me if everything is ok. I'm like ya, everything is fine. He's like well you seem to have something bothering you, you're kind of cranky today. I said, nope, nothing is bugging me everything is fine. He asks again, you sure? Nothing bad happening? I'm like no, I'm fine.

I AM FINE! Everything is going really good actually and I'm fine. I hate when people do that. Basically he was telling me I was being "bitchy" but I didn't think I was. I'm having a good day and a good week. So "odd"!!!

Well the weekend went by fast! I spent most of Saturday organizing the kitchen and finishing my unpacking. I am done now, fully done! It's nice to just enjoy the place now and not stress or fret about cleaning and unpacking!

Sunday we spent Mothers Day at my Aunt's house. We grilled hamburgers and ate salads and then went out for Ice Cream. I got an oreo flurry, it was delicious! It was so warm outside, almost 80. I am so excited for summer to come.

Last night I highlighted my hair myself. It worked out nicely. It's not as good as a salon, but I'm happy with it....and it's only $10/box! I was paying $50-$80!

Well, onto the next week. I have Friday off work this week to spend with my sister so I'm hoping the next few days fly by cause I can't wait to see her!

It's Friday!

Wow, it finally came, Friday!! This week has been very slow, and long. I think it's been long cause of the move and unpacking and all that. I have more of that to do, ack! I hope to be finished by Sunday.

Yesterday was Cinco De Mayo. I did celebrate, even though I'm Dutch. We made burritos and drank lots of Corona, it was spectacular!


This weekend is Mother's Day. I think we're going to the park as a big family outing thing. I'm going to try to bring my camera and take some pictures. It's going to be 80! I can't wait!

Big-Ass Grill

A man and his wife were working in their garden one day.

The man looks over at his wife and says: "Your butt is getting really big I mean really big. I bet your butt is bigger than the barbecue."

With that he proceeded to get a measuring tape and measure the grill, then went over to where his wife was working and measured his wife's bottom. "Yes, I was right, your butt is two inches wider than the barbecue!!!" The woman chose to ignore her husband.

Later that night in bed, the husband was feeling a little frisky. He made some advances towards his wife who completely brushes him off. "What's wrong?" he asks. She answers: "Do you really think I'm going to fire up this big-ass grill for one little weenie?"

Let the fun begin.....

Yay! I am completely moved out of my Aunt's house! Now the fun begins, unpacking and finding a place for everything, including the trash can. I plan on spending every night this week, and all day Saturday and some of Sunday getting the apartment unpacked and organized. I get stressed when things aren't in order so I'm going to try to get as much done as I can. All I need is a 2-liter of Coca Cola and some good music and I'm good to go!

I Moved!

It's done, well almost. All the big stuff is moved and somewhat unpacked. The aparment is looking pretty nice! Tomorrow Danielle is helping me move my clothes and a few boxes and my big tv. I will be happy once it's all done!
