Blah...

Well the weekend was alright. I didn't do too much. I watched about 10 episodes of Sex and the City with my friend Jen Friday night. The rest of the weekend consisted of laying around, eating, and laying around. Can you tell it's winter? And yes, I have a horrible cold now and I feel like crap. I can't wait for 5:00pm so I can go home and go to bed!

Ice Cream

This is all I'm thinking about today. I am making dinner for Scott tonight. We are having my Mom's specialty Meatloaf with Baked Potatoes and Corn. And can you guess what for dessert? No, not Scott! I bought Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream. I can't stop thinking about it. I can't wait for it to hit my tounge and start melting in my mouth!!!!!

Weekend Re-cap

So the whole weekend was great! I had to laugh when I read my last post about the meal. Skip said the mashed potatoes had no "substance" so we used that word the rest of the weekend. I am getting hungry thinking about that meal.

Sat night we went to the Olive Garden for dinner. Me and Toni got our own bottle of our favorite Kendall-Jackson wine......my mouth is watering. Dinner came and I ordered the spagetti and meatballs. OH it was sooo good, until I found a hair, yes a hair was in my food...and it was not mine. It was a straight hair and it was shorter. I could not eat the rest as I was grossed out to the max. They did give me the meal for free, so I ordered my favorite dessert, Tirmisu. After Olive Garden, we made a trip to Meijer for some Kalua for White Russians. I love going to Meijer buzzed up. There is something fun about it but I don't know what.

So we get home, drink some more and start to play Grand Theft Auto - Vice City. That game is so fun. Even when you don't feel like playing the game, you can steal cars, get chased by cops, pick up hookers and go to jail! Fun! I laugh so hard playing that stupid game. We also played Taboo and that was a riot.


The drive home on Sunday was beautiful. The roads were mostly dry, barely any traffic and smooth sailing all the way home!

Well I sit here in Aurora, IL at 10:53 at night at my sisters apartment. We are doing nothing this weekend and it is so great! We went shopping today and I got 2 new pairs of pants and some stuff from Crate & Barrell. We attempted to make a big dinner, chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn.Well the chicken never really got done and we put too much milk in the potatoes so they were like melting in your mouth. All in all it was good and there is always chocolate cake if we get hungry. This chocolate cake my sister made looks exactly like the cake from Matlida move. It is SO good. I think I'll get a piece soon.
I return to GR on Sunday. Right now we are getting like 10 inches of snow here so I'm sure I'll have a nice drive come Sunday, Oh happy day!

Fitness!

So I wasn't doing well a while back on my Trimspa pills. I forgot here and there and ended up just stopping. Well, I'm back on it and back on my fitness kick, yahoo! Basically, I walk 1-2 miles a day, do my Pilates every other day or so and now I am taking my Trimspa regularly. I also am joining my friend every Monday at her work place to work-out in their fitness center. I'll be doing the eliptical machine and weights. I've also changed my eating habits a bit but the hardest part will be not eating fast food. I am in love with McDonalds and Taco Bell...and others too. But yesterday, I took a "before" picture of myself and hopefully in May or something I can post an "after" picture with it. Right now I'm too embarrased to post my before picture so you'll just have to wait. I don't want to make anyone puke by looking at it anyway.

I do realize that Trimspa is a quick fix, but I'm doing more than that. Also, I realize that weighing myself every day isn't going to really help, it's the inches around that counts. But today I weighed in at 146 and my goal is 131-135. I'm not going to tell you my hip, bust and waist, that's personal. But I'll keep this updated on my progress and hopefully in a few months I'll be happy to announce I hit the goal! Any motivation you'd like to pass on to me would be most helpful!

The New Year

Happy New Year to everyone! So far it's a great start to a new year! I must say, looking back on last year, I had a pretty good year. 2004 was good and it's been a while since I've been able to say that!

I celebrated the new year with my boyfriend and friends. We went bowling and I suck at bowling. I haven't bowled in 2 years and I got a 128! And yes, I beat Scott. Oh happy day! After that I went and visited my friend Brian. His band was playing at the Saloon and we stayed an hour or so to rock out! And last, we ventured to Bobs bar and met with friends and rang in the new year.

Work is slowing down but I'm still at 40hr/week which is great! Who knows, maybe they won't put me down to 30 hours this year? I guess they are going to hire a new guy to handle bills and HR so that should be exciting. This guy came in today. His name was Lyle, I hope they don't hire him. He was boring, had a boring voice and a boring look about it. I don't think he'd fit in very well here.
